Phased Array (PA) / Time Of Flight Diffraction (TOFD)

Incorporating both PA and TOFD techniques to accurately locate, characterise and size flaws in vessel welds has been proven to be the most effective technique in anomaly detection. Phased array produces accurate, detailed cross-sectional  of internal welds at fast inspection speeds. The technology uses multiple ultrasonic elements to create beams that can be steered, scanned, swept, and focused electronically for fast inspection, full data storage, and multiple angle inspections.

Corrosion mapping

HydroFORM

Using a semiautomated corrosion scanner and incorporating phased array probes to cover large areas, the HydroFORM allows fast vessel mapping and produces and collects high resolution data.
Its exceptional detection of wall-thickness reductions due to corrosion/erosion allows us to accurately monitor metal loss with a depth resolution of 0.1mm.

Software

TomoView

All the data collected during our inspections is stored on file for off-site interpretation. TomoView software allows us to change ultrasonic parameters and view data in different representations to accurately locate, characterise and size flaws easily. Inspection reports are also easily drafted with detailed images of flaws and wall thickness reductions.
